The V-84 diesel engine belongs to the class of high-speed diesel engines with liquid cooling, direct fuel injection into the cylinders, combined supercharging from a centrifugal blower (GCB), and pulse supercharging.

- Warranty ObligationsFor engines that have undergone major overhaul, a warranty period of 350 operating hours or 12 (twelve) months from the date of signing the Acceptance Certificate shall apply — whichever occurs first.
For Category I engines, a warranty period of 500 operating hours or 12 (twelve) months from the date of signing the Acceptance Certificate shall apply — whichever occurs first.
