The KamAZ-7403 engine, eight-cylinder V-type, belongs to the class of four-stroke high-speed diesel engines with liquid cooling and direct fuel injection into the cylinders, turbocharged by a turbocharger.

For Category I engines, a warranty period of 500 operating hours or 12 (twelve) months from the date of signing the Acceptance Certificate shall apply — whichever occurs first.
