Turkish military drones to be produced in Kazakhstan

Turkish ANKA attack drones will be produced in Kazakhstan. Earlier, a memorandum on military-technical cooperation between Kazakhstan Engineering and Turkish Aerospace was signed in Ankara. Maintenance and repair of drones will also be carried out at the joint venture.

It is important to note that Kazakhstan will be the first country to establish production of ANKA drones outside of Turkey.

“Türk Havacılık ve Uzay Sanayii has signed a new cooperation agreement with Kazakhstan, with which an export agreement on ANKA UAVs was signed last year. According to the Memorandum of Understanding signed between Turkish Aerospace Industries and Kazakhstan Engineering, the ANKA UAV will be jointly produced in Kazakhstan. In addition to joint production, cooperation will be carried out on technology transfer issues, including maintenance and repair processes,” - the message says.

For reference: The ANKA reconnaissance and strike drone was created in Turkey in 2013. Was tested in combat conditions. The UAV has a maximum takeoff weight of 1,700 kg and is capable of carrying a payload of up to 350 kg. Flight time is up to 30 hours at a maximum altitude of up to 9,000 meters.
