China's new main battle tank - a copy of the Russian T-14 "Armata"

According to "Rossiyskaya Gazeta" (Russian Newspaper), China is urgently developing a completely new next-generation main battle tank, which, so far, has little information, but is located in the same class as the Russian T-14 Armata.

The first images, from which little can be understood in principle, show the general public the turret and hull of a previously unseen PLA tank, which is very different from the tank models used by the PRC army.

Almost a direct borrowing of the Russian "Armada", the journalists of the publication write. Like the Russian tank, there are two hatches in the front of the hull, and officials say the tank will be equipped with "effective, comprehensive and multi-layered protection technology."

“A breakthrough has been made in the field of active jamming and interception, which will provide the latest PLA tanks with a qualitative leap in three-dimensional omnidirectional protection,” the words of a Chinese television commentator complement the press release.

It is known that two people will control the tank and this is a consequence of the fact that the combat vehicle will have an automatic loading system and a robotic turret.

China does not hide the fact that its developers were inspired by the T-14 Armata tank, which will be deeply modernized.

China believes that the tank can get lighter armor and thus increase speed and maneuverability. At the same time, it is clear that light armor is a rather controversial decision; it will not save you from being hit by ATGMs.

Chinese engineers are also working to reduce fuel consumption.

So far, there is no information about which tank engine will be used, and what power the tank will have, and the details of weapons are unknown, but Chinese bloggers already assume that there will not be so many differences from the T-14 Armata.
