Turkish military drones Bayraktar entered service with Kyrgyzstan

"The President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov examined the Bayraktar unmanned aerial vehicles, which entered service with the border service of the State Committee for National Security of the republic," the press service of the President of the country said in a statement.

The head of state was told about the control system of these devices and their work was demonstrated, the press service added.

"These devices were fully purchased with funds from the republican budget and will be used to ensure the country's defense security, including the protection of state borders," the press service said.

Kyrgyzstan became the first country of the Collective Security Treaty Organization to purchase Turkish drones. It is important to note that the Russian "Kant" airbase is also located in Kyrgyzstan.

In addition, it was also reported that Bayraktar TB2 was purchased by Azerbaijan and used these drones during the Second Karabakh War in the fall of 2020. Also, in September this year, it was reported that Bayraktar drones were on display in Ashgabat at a parade on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan.
