Serbia is updating its main battle tanks of the Armed Forces

In the capital of Serbia, Belgrade, an exhibition of arms "Partner-2021" is taking place, where samples of weapons and military equipment created by enterprises of the Serbian defense industry were demonstrated. It is noted that Serbia has modernized the M-84 tank and demonstrated it at the exhibition.

The upgraded version of the M-84AS2 is equipped with an improved fire control system (FCS), a modern video surveillance system and dynamic armor.

The tank is armed with a 125mm smoothbore gun, a coaxial 7.62mm machine gun to destroy enemy manpower, and a 12.7mm anti-aircraft machine gun to protect against air threats. In an improved version, the anti-aircraft gun is remotely controlled.

The M-84AS2 also received a modern digital communication and navigation system, as well as other state-of-the-art equipment. Overall, the new upgraded version of the M-84 main battle tank has improved performance in terms of firepower, mobility, protection and crew awareness of the situation on the battlefield.
