The Chilean Armed Forces use various tanks. However, the most common and modern ones include:
- The Leopard 2A4 tanks are German tanks that were acquired by Chile in the early 2000s. In total, there are currently about 140 Leopard 2A4 tanks in Chile.
- Marder tanks are infantry fighting vehicles that were also purchased from Germany. They are designed to transport infantry and protect them during battle.
- The AMX-30 tanks are French tanks that were acquired by Chile in the early 1990s. They are currently in reserve service.
- The Centurion tanks are British tanks that were bought by Chile in the 1990s. They are also currently in reserve service.
- The T-55 tanks are Soviet tanks that were bought by Chile in the 1970s. They are currently used for training and reserve.
- The Panzer 68 tanks are Swiss tanks that were bought by Chile in the 1970s. Currently, they are also used for training and reserve.
- Sherman tanks are American tanks that were used by Chile during World War II. Currently, they are in the service of museums and as historical monuments.
