Turkey prepares for testing the Altay battle tank engine
Ismail Demir, head of the Turkish Defense Industry Department, spoke about the progress of work on a domestic engine for the Altay main battle tank during an interview with Turkish media representatives.
According to Ismail Demir, Turkey is at the stage of preparation for testing a tank engine, which is already at the test bench. The experimental work itself should take place during April.
In addition, Demir shared the characteristics of the Turkish engine. According to him, the engine being created is a 12-cylinder, V-shaped, water-cooled. Its power should be 1500 horsepower.
