The timing of state tests of the Russian tank "Armata" has become known
In 2022, it is planned to complete state tests of new Russian T-14 tanks, which were created on the Armata platform, RIA Novosti reports.
"State tests of new T-14 tanks continue with positive results. According to the plan, they should be completed in the first half of 2022," a source shared with the agency.
"The tests are going well," the source said. The tactical and technical requirements set by the Russian Ministry of Defense for the new combat vehicle are "consistently confirmed."
In August, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexei Krivoruchko announced that by the end of the year the Russian Armed Forces will receive 20 T-14 Armata tanks. This will be an installation batch of new equipment.
T-14 "Armata" - the main battle tank of the new generation. Its entire crew is housed in an armored capsule, and the turret with a 125-mm smooth-bore weapon is remotely controlled. It is equipped with a modern complex of active protection "Afganit" and equipment for a unified tactical control system.
